London AI Hackathon

Participants working on AI agents at the London AI Hackathon.

MA Family organized the London AI Hackathon with Dwelly, Anthropic, ElevenLabs, EQT, and General Catalyst. The event drew more than 400 applications, with 80 builders coming together in 25 teams for a day of building AI agents for real operational work.

Teams had seven hours to develop agents for insurance claims, property management, banking, and logistics. The challenge drew on problems Dwelly encounters while building AI for residential lettings: phone calls that take unexpected turns, conflicting paperwork, and exceptions that require human judgment.

Across the day, participants worked through these problems, tested their approaches, and prepared demos. The £5,000 grand prize recognized the Best Real-World AI Agent.

The event gave builders a chance to work on the kinds of service problems businesses handle every day, alongside peers tackling the same challenges. As one participant wrote afterward: “This was by far the best one I’ve attended.”
